The Sandcrawler™ set 75059 is from Star Wars™ Episode IV A New Hope. It is a nice large set with 3286 pieces and 7 minifigures. Set set has been on the brixinvest future prospects page for some time. We had recommended the Sandcrawler a™s a potential investment! This is is now showing as retied on the LEGO® web site.
The prices are really all over the place. There are sets for sale anywhere from low $700 to just under the MSRP price of $299.99. Over all the average price is around $435. At the average price of $435, assuming that this was purchased in 2014 when it was first released, it has had a 13.20% gain. This is better than the S&P500 gain. Yes, we had a great S&P gain in 2016 of almost 10% (9.84). However 2015 was not such a great year at 1.36% and the average is about 6.5%. So, since this set is just retired, it will take some time for prices to stabilize.
